Mixing

Add to the mixing container 5-5.5 liters of water for each 25kg bag of Vetotouch Marmo. Add the powder to the water and mix with a mechanical plaster mixer or low-speed heavy-duty electric drill fitted with a suitable paddle for 3-4 minutes until achieving a uniform, lump-free consistency. Leave the mixed material to stand for 10min and briefly remix without adding water.

For small batch quantities, mix manually for approx. 1-2 min or until achieving a homogeneous mix.
Add 0.5 to 1.0 liter of Vetobond AB432 to the mixing water and adjust the water requirement accordingly for each 25kg bag. Follow the same mixing procedure as described above.
Use the mixed material within 2 hours.
Do not add water once the mixed mortar starts to harden.

Application

Apply Vetotouch Marmo in a single layer (5 – 10mm).

Apply the design, color scheme, and joints using a small amount of the mixture at a thickness of 2mm glued to the plastic spacers. Use the processed plastic spacers with the required lengths, and allow for a period of not less than 10 minutes to dry. Broadcast the wet surface mixture with marble chips; when the mixture begins to stiffen, compress the chips into the surface with a steel or plastic trowel to reach a homogeneous level with an attractive design.

Apply a coat of Vetoseal XX772 for protection against water penetration, chloride ion attack, freeze/thaw cycles, weathering, and airborne contaminants.

Curing

It is vital to cure Vetotouch Marmo surface with clean potable water 2 times a day for 3 days. During hot and dry conditions, extend the curing period for a minimum of 5-7 days. It will help to obtain high physical properties. An acrylic-based curing compound can be used.

To protect the final color look, it is recommended to apply one coat of Saveto Vetoseal product range (contact the technical department for advice).

Cleaning

Clean tools with water before the mortar hardens. After the hardening, remove its residuals mechanically only.
